Who Is YOUR Intentional Discipleship Community?

Be Mobilized!

We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too (1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:8‬ ).

Hands-down, the intentional people God has put in my life are why I have a deep passion for Jesus and why I was mobilized early in my walk with Him to disciple and invest among peers God placed in my life. My Masters in Bible, great sermons I’ve heard, and all the impacting Christian events I’ve consumed do not come close to having as much of an impact in my personal ministry as the organic intentional discipleship community I’ve been blessed with through the years. I believe this is one of the reasons for this cry in Hebrews 10:24-24: “Let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, not abandoning our own meetings, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and even more so because you see the day drawing near.”

Who is YOUR Intentional Discipleship Community in YOUR life mobilizing you to thrive in Jesus and make disciples among YOUR peers “right where YOU live, work and play”? The thriving and growing mission work, the Nav20s, that we pioneered among the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is a disciple-making ministry that meets at many locations throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex as Intentional Discipleship Communities (IDCs) resulting in a network of over one hundred twenties.

We are passionate about Christ-centered community. The theme verse for the IDCs we’ve coined and launched all around the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex is: “We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too (1 Thessalonians‬ ‭2:8‬ ).” Notice that community is about sharing not only the Gospel among each other, BUT also our live as well. There are four pursuits that the IDCs we’ve launched rally around:

1. Christ – Pursue Christ and walk with Him with all our hearts.

2. Work – Honor Christ in our workplaces, jobs and professions.

3. Mission – Live and disciple among those without Christ – especially among our peers.

4. Community – Team with each other as Christ-followers of like-heart and purpose.

Can you envision how intentional discipleship community would bless and mobilize your life? Currently, there are DFW Nav20s Intentional Discipleship Communities in Dallas, Grapevine, Irving and Fort Worth (coming January 2017)! December 3 is the next City-wide Gathering, when all the DFW Nav20s networks around the metroplex gather in our home, nicknamed, the Nav20s Central Hub, to meet other intentional twenties and to be equipped to thrive in Christ and to make disciples “right where they live, work and play”. Following this Gathering, there will be a short interest meeting for the new Fort Worth IDC to be launched the first of next year! Over the year to come, we are praying and asking Jesus for intentional twenties in our ministry to mobilize and launch IDCs in Plano, Addison and Carrolton, just to name a few.

A few questions for you to consider:

* Who is your personal Intentional Discipleship Community (IDC)? * Are you in your twenties or thirties and want to be mobilized to thrive in Christ and make disciples “right where you’re planted”? Consider being apart of an IDC or being equipped to launch one! Message me for more info. * If you think that being only in your current small group or Bible study suffices, how does your small group mobilize you to make disciples?
